Three conferences will be playing tournament games tonight, all in the first round, with no impact to our pool picks. Starting in the Horizon League we have 3 games between seeds 6-11. Our deepest reach is (5) Purdue Fort Wayne by 4 different people. The Patriot League has 2 first round games for its 7-10 seeds, and the deepest our pool gets here is with Novakiii picking (6) Army. The schedule shapes up with (7) Lafayette playing (10) Holy Cross while (8) Loyola MD takes on (9) Lehigh, both games being played at 6:00 PM CST. 🏀
The third and final conference with tournament games today is the Sun Belt, and they have the wildest looking tournament bracket I've ever seen! As it should be for these mid-major conferences, the top seeds have a dramatic advantage over the lower seeded teams, ensuring a good team represents the conference during the NCAA tournament. For the teams playing tonight, they would need to win 7 games in 7 days to punch their ticket to the NCAA tournament. Our deepest pick in the pool is (5) Marshall by B.I. and The Diddlers. 🎰

Next Up: The Big South, Ohio Valley and Summit League all tip off with first round action, while the Northeast Conference begins its tournament right with its quarterfinals round. The Sun Belt will continue with "first round" ladder bracket games on Wednesday. No other conferences will be playing any tournament games, but tomorrow we will have 8 out of the 31 conferences playing tournament games.
