Double Bison and Penguins Advance in Nail Bitters

It was an exciting night of conference tournament basketball games filled with multiple overtime games, upsets and plenty of losses in our pool. The Atlantic Sun championship game is set and unfortunately (or fortunately) it is an all-chalk matchup. After winning in overtime, (1) Lipscomb will play (2) North Alabama on Sunday. Only 6 out of 30 people in our pool have been eliminated in the conference, but I'll save the full breakdown for Sunday morning. 🏀

            

Moving over to the Patriot League, the quarterfinals delivered tonight with three out of four close games, including (8) Loyola Maryland taking (1) Bucknell to overtime, with the Bison ultimately pulling out the victory. Over half the pool was almost knocked out, but the Bison cruised to victory in overtime. Also in the Patriot League, (5) Navy upset (4) Boston and (2) Colgate crushed (6) Army West Point. In the end, only B.I. and Novakiii lost teams in this conference.

In the Horizon League (4) Youngstown State held off (5) Purdue Fort Wayne while (6) Oakland destroyed our pool favorite (3) Milwaukee. Half of the pool has been eliminated in the Horizon League, with popular bonus point picks just not performing tonight.

             

That covers almost all of the pool impacting conference tournament games that were played today. The standings have been updated with all of tonight's action, we are really starting to rack up the losses so brace yourself before you open the file. Finally, I can't promise a blog tomorrow, I will attempt one, but if I fail, I will continue to keep the standings updated as teams lose.
